Is It Time To Renew Your TJC Membership?

Every year, we get many questions from our members about the procedures for paying dues.  This web page is designed to address the most commonly asked questions.  We hope that you find the answers useful.

  1. TJC Annual Dues are $10.

  2. USSVI Annual Dues are $20.

  3. YES, you should pay ALL dues in ONE check - don't write out two separate checks; let's try to save a tree or two, ok?

  4. Make your check payable to "TJC", or if you've got nothing better to do, write out "Topeka-Jefferson City Base", but "TJC" is just fine! DO NOT make your dues check out to USSVI, or the Treasurer, or anyone else by name - "TJC" is just fine.

  5. Mail your check directly to the base treasurer.  DO NOT mail anything to USSVI National or anyone else.   The base treasurer takes care of paying USSVI dues so you don't have to worry about it.

  6. And please, don't just stuff a check in an envelope by itself.  Insert the check in some paper or something for crying out loud.  Let's not announce to the check thieves as to what's in the envelope while it traverses the mail system.  And, for goodness sake, DO NOT send cash through the mail.  Leave such idiocy within the realm of the skimmer pukes.

  7. Dues for any given year should be paid by the 1st of January of that year.  Currently, there is a "grace period", which means that those not paid up by 1 April will be dropped from the rolls.

These are pretty simple guidelines, so please be sure to stay off the "dink" list.  Pay your dues by 1 January.  And, through some bizarre chance that the above information doesn't address your question(s), please contact the membership chairman or the base treasurer and he will gladly assist you.

Thank you.
